I got these blades as a replacement for the original style mulching blade. Not only did they cost less than the originals from Sears but they are much better. They are a lot heavier duty and mow tall and wet grass a lot better and faster than the old blades. The grass isn't turned to paste in the mower deck but is instead blown out like it is suppose to. These should be much less likely to bend up like the old ones would do regularly.

I've had my mower for 5 years, and bent 5 or so pairs of blades! I bought one of these 2 yrs ago, and have not been able to bend it, so now I am finally getting the matching pair. These should save you lots of money in the long run, and also keep your lawn from having those brown stripes!

Heavy Duty 21" blade used on 42" Craftsman, Poulan, Wizard, & Husqvarna decks. Has star 5 point hole and has much thicker steel than OEM blades. Will not mulch or work well with a bagger, we call this the field blade. Best blade available for rough conditions, will bend but you have to work harder to do it. Idea for situations like wet high field grass, has less lift and drag and is easier on belts.
